It looks like just a reused name. Here are some links about it.

Odysee company https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/odysee

"Is Odysee.com related to Google? Some of you may have searched for Odysee and noticed it was a company bought out by Google a few years ago. This is true, and is in no way related to the odysee.com domain name we have purchased. But it's funny how that worked out and we didn't even realize at the time of naming it!" https://odysee.com/@OdyseeHelp:b/OdyseeBasics:c

Nimbuz company (their app was called odysee) https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/nimbuz

"Google will be adding more offline and private sharing features to their Google+ Photo Service, after their purchase of Odysee. Odysee, is an app which facilitates the automatic backup of photos and videos from cameras to a users home PC. ...more TechCrunch have also noted that the Odysee app has been pulled from Google Play and the company behind Odysee, Nimbuz Inc.’s account has also been removed from Google Play altogether. TechCrunch attempted to contact both Odysee & Google and so far only a spokesperson for Google has responded, advising ‘I can confirm the news and that they’re joining the Google+ team. We aren’t sharing more beyond that at this point’." https://ausdroid.net/2015/02/09/google-buys-odysee-app-private-photovideo-backup-sharing/

Google attempted to ban LBRY. Odysee uses LBRY as their structure.

"A few days ago, we heard the news that Google banned the LBRY Android app from the Playstore due to pornographic materials that turned out to be untrue. As Jeremy Kauffman the CEO of LBRY and Odysee has mentioned in a video they submitted an appeal to Google to bring the LBRY app back." https://www.publish0x.com/lbry-geek/google-brings-back-the-banned-lbry-android-app-to-playstore-xyvxyxv

"Odysee is a new content sharing platform backed by LBRY. It is very similar but with a bunch of new features." https://mamaecrypto.medium.com/trying-out-the-odysee-video-platform-backed-by-lbry-decentralized-d2bb2f3b01c9

idk... I read this story: https://techcrunch.com/2015/02/08/google-odysee/ It is the same website odysee.com (in the article), but google bought the "photo and video" sharing "app" in 2015. So it's possible they just released the domain name after they were bought and it was picked up for the new Odysee site.
