The problem here is that 78 year-old McConnell was just elected to a six-year term thus his term ends on January 3, 2027. He will be 84 years old. It's not likely he will run again so concerning ourselves with primarying him is a waste of energy and time at this point.
If we re-win the majority in the Senate then can we just make sure that he's not the majority leader anymore? That's all I ask for. Is he the Minority leader now? That's voted on with every now class of congress people correct?
Oh I absolutely agree with you on that point. When the Republicans (the REAL ones) retake the Senate, in no way should McConnell be returned to the position of majority leader. He did not put America First with his words and actions regarding the election. We DESERVE a strong leader that represents us, not his or her own standing in the good old boys club.
