Depends on where you live. In California all private party gun sales are required to go through a licensed dealer and be registered last I heard. And if a gun gets stolen and is used in a crime, if the owner didn't have the gun secured in a locked safe when it was stolen then they are held as liable for the crime as the person who committed the crime. This is according to a firearms instructor I know.

I don’t give a shit about cucked state laws. We’re talking federal here. There are ALWAYS going to be State-specific exceptions to every law. If you live in California and own guns, you have way bigger problems than this.
