He's God's man. After everything that has been thrown at him, there is no doubt in my mind that he has the backing of God himself to throw a wrench in the Devil's plans.
Remember when Absolom stole David's throne, banged all David's wives, and proclaimed before Israel that he was king? And Israel, by and large, was like "yeah, whatever, we don't really care who's king, you can be it." And then God set things straight? In time, everything will be set straight, and every Usurper destroyed.
I'm not saying to trust any plan or anything is imminent. This could take years, even generations. But eventually God gets sick of peoples' BS, and he sets things straight.
Oh yes, I totally agree. I can't even begin to understand the wickedness that drives our leaders to betray us. "There is no bottom to the depths of depravity." But I have no doubt that we suffer the wrath of God Himself for every single one of our iniquities.
I was also thinking about Numbers 16, where Korah decided to oust Moses as leader. Korah and his buddies wanted to take control and lead Israel back to Egypt to live under slavery again. Sort of like how the left wants a return to Obama era malaise. Been praying for our own earthquake, just like how the earth opened up and swallowed Korah and his bunch.
