If AOC really thinks that Republicans tried to kill her, she would have a moral obligation to take legal action against these people in order to preserve public safety and order. She's not doing this for obvious reasons.
Haven't you heard? They're trying to expel every lawmaker that objected to the results. She's still trying to get Cruz to resign.
The official reason is that they believe those people were involved with the events of the sixth and are potentially planning more violence.
The unofficial reason is to get them out of Congress so Democrats can get that supermajority they desire. Then they would have little to no resistance for their pet projects.
Trying to get them expelled from Congress is different than taking legal action due to an actual crime being committed. Proper legal action would expose her to being vulnerable to perjury if she were to lie under oath.
You need need two thirds of the vote to expel and right now Dems only have a small handful of seats over Republicans; their lead actually shrank last November.
On the other hand, getting them branded as aiding the insurrection would make it easier for Nancy to push for their expulsion than simply saying that they objected. If objecting was sufficient then people like Mad Maxine would be expelled for objecting to Trump in 2016.
And to be honest, I have very little faith in someone like AOC being punished in a legal case that cleared everyone of being involved in the storming. We just watched an anti-Trump FBI lawyer that was involved in falsifying documents to spy on a presidential candidate only get probation while a pro-Trump mememaker is facing ten years as we speak.
