As far as I can tell, Byrne’s recount of the situation fills in many of the missing pieces of this story. Rudy’s drinking problem leading to the hair dye and the Four Season’s Lawn and Garden. Rudy’s obsession with getting paid $100k a week and promoting his stupid podcast. (Hello, wtf were those cigar ads about???? Why didn’t he do those podcasts pro bono?). I wish that much of what he is saying was not true, but unfortunately Byrne’s explanation is more plausible than the potential alternatives.
