Okay fine, but why are we still trusting centralization?

Bitcoin is like a decade old. Surely by now someone has designed a decentralized version of Twitter, right?

the very company you want to shit on

Woah, settle down there buddy.

Asking questions isn't "shitting on" anything. I was responding to a comment about the person "who owns Gab."

If Gab has an owner, it's definitely centralized.

I thought Gab's servers were in Pennsylvania. Isn't that centralization? If they take out the servers in PA, then Gab is gone, right?

I see. So if PA was attacked, Gab would still exist (just as Bitcoin would exist so long as there's a copy of the ledger). That's awesome.

Yeah, I understand that Torba owns the servers. That means Gab isn't built atop a hostile platform, but it doesn't mean Gab is decentralized.

Not trying to black-pill. I'm trying to learn this stuff.
