id stay in Missouri. Texas is nice but Missouri has a lot of recreation. Jeff city isn't that big. a lot of small towns near lake of the Ozarks. pretty nice. tons of bars. boating. food. taxes are cheap. not a lot of work. unless its service oriented. Texas if you are tech IT ect. lots of work. i'm assuming there are oil field work or work related to that. Abaline is pretty nice i hear. Good Luck!
Missouri unless Texas is serious about secession. Our governor has been reasonable about Covid rules and business lockdowns. Former lawman so he believes in the right to bear arms and law and order. Stay away from KC and St. L and you should be in good shape!

Missouri is stronger on 2A than TX right now. If they get SAPA signed then even more so.
I suspect MO would join in with TX if they secede, so it may be a moot point anyway.
I’m in Kansas and hoping Missouri is my saving grace. Kelly is already saying the Vaccine will be mandatory.
