He was never "one of us". He was born into extreme wealth and his upbringing and life have almost nothing in common with the average person who voted for him. He's been wheeling and dealing with CEO's and massive corporations all his life. He wanted to take down the same people we did and that's why we voted for him but it's not like we're his peers. He has personal security details, he's only going to talk to us regular folk if he's passing through our town while campaiging and wants a photo op.
