I casually walked down a city street and had a rapid dog BLM thug woman scream profanities in my face and threaten my safety without provocation because of my skin color. I now own a 9mm, a 38 and a shotgun and I’m not done yet.

The floyd riots were my slap in the face. Ive owned guns before but sold them off a few years back and got complacent. Now ive got 2 rifles, a pistol and a few other things for self defense. I also just bought a slingshot; 1000 steel balls for like $10? Sure, ok.
I would call that “a good start”. Train, with all of them, run drills, practice malfunction recovery.
I highly recommend getting you an AR-15. Fun and easy to shoot, and liberals hate them so much. I love the idea of more of these being in circulation.
An AR-15 is the most important gun you can have IMO. If shit ever hits the fan, it'll be the only thing you'll need. I even use it as my main home defense weapon. Nothing makes me feel safer than having a dozen 30 round mags fully loaded and available if needed.

Sorry I wrote that comment at 1am and after searching for a rifle worthwhile I have given up on the AR platform.
In MA, I can only own an AR with a fixed mag and 10rounds. Also has to be a certain barrel length and cannot have any external foregrip, or a collapsible stock. They've made it almost impossible. It's so frustrating.

AR15 isn't a great home defense weapon but I also highly suggest you don't keep fully loaded mags. The springs can wear on them and cause a jam.
That's your opinion. For several reasons, it's a great home defense gun for me and many others. It's smaller than a shotgun and holds way more ammo. I'm a big guy so it's extremely easy for me to handle. Watch out for overpenetration, that's about it.
Your statement about magazine springs is up for debate. I only use quality Magpul mags and I've never had any problems.
Wrong, an AR-15 is a fantastic home defense weapon. It's light, and easily wielded by all members of a household. Suggesting that someone does not keep a loaded clip is bad advise. I've get to encounter a jam related to a weakened spring.

Go AR10, although prices are beyond ridiculous right now. But it will give you the opportunity to bang steel at 1000 yrds if you choose to go down the precision rifle rabbit hole! I'd also recommend youtube (gag me but..) Warrior Poet Society, great guy.

I'm sorry, but with what? Our indoor shooting range is flat out of ammo. I am thinking of buying a pellet gun for practice and to dispatch the squirrels eating my garden (and then stew them for extra food). Used to shoot .22 LR and 16 gauge skeet shot--I cannot even find these rounds anymore.

I bought laser hit app and a pink rhino laser. I practice for 5 minutes ac day and my accuracy and ability to draw aim for is way better than it was 2 months ago. Be careful

Make sure you have a camera you can use while holding a firearm. You kill a BLM member in self defense, you're going to need as much supporting evidence as possible.
If you are diligent you can find ammo. A month ago could not find any. Last week bougt 1100 rounds. Expensive but great piece of mind. Local gun shop allowed us pre-order they will accommodate large orders
By the way, I hope you get training, and remember, always treat a gun like its loaded, never point it at somebody, unless you intend to use it.
Get a conceal carry license. Know your states carry laws and self defense laws (even though laws are fucking worthless these days).
Generally speaking, if you’re going to draw your weapon you had better be prepared to shoot. And do not shoot to wound, that’ll land you in prison the same as if you’re trigger happy.
Shoot to end the threat. Means lethal force in response to lethal threat.
And don’t speak to law enforcement beyond requesting attorney.
Understand some ballistics and human biology. The .38 is unlikely to protect you with the capacity of ammo it generally contains, unless you’re a fantastic shot under pressure. Shoot at a target at 7yds slowly. Then do it again rapidly. Then do it again with a timer that has a beep. Make note of your accuracy changes under stress. Stick with the 9mm is my advice.
Great advice. Thank you, I do prefer the 9mm because mine is designed for women lighter and all round easier to use. S&W EZ Shield. I was a witness against police and a dirty district attorney that hid evidence exonerating an innocent young man. The abuse of power by government is what brought me to The-Donald. I agree 100%, I don’t talk to police, don’t trust police and would never count on them for protection.
