Curious - I would think it would take only days to get 1.5 million signatures as it seems so many Californians are actually quite based. Is it difficult as there's not much media coverage and people just aren't aware of the petition?

I think they are already very close to 1.5 million if they haven't hit it already. I am guessing when the deadline rolls around in mid-march, they will have well over two million signatures.

Daily Caller reported on the 25th that they hit 1.2 million signatures

1.5 million is probably only days away but allegedly they're aiming for 2+ million because lots of them will probably get thrown out during review due to duplicates and signature verification apparently.
