I think inexperience with the real world is a big part of it. I have a lot of friends from High school (10 years ago now for me) that were big Obama people, big Dem supporters.
Once they started working and paying taxes, most at least swing to the right for a lot of issues now.

But I think many teenagers listen to their dumb friends and random tik tok idiots. The famous tik tok and youtubers are liberal because they think it's popular and they don't want to get harrasssed and canceled by the mafia-like left.
The schools and popular culture (especially the modern stuff) brainwash them. Social media is just a place to throw Deep State approved pop culture/propaganda.
There is also the foolishness of youth. When I started to have to actually work to eat, live and get the shit I needed I changed my tune hard.
It used to be you would work to get the things you want but as time has gone on and you get older you only work to get the things you need.
I feel sorry for the youth today. You young folks are most likely going to have to work to survive.
At the very least least you will if you don't tow the Democratic Socialist line. They'll starve you guys to death or worse probably.
Because they haven't the experience to understand how damn evil/destructive some can be. Liberal is such a nice sounding word. Almost sounds generous, doesn't it? And who wouldn't be generous, especially with the poor, the downtrodden, the children?
But it's really the conservatives who are generous, they reach into their own pockets. Liberals just want everybody else to take care of it. Let the government do it. And the government skims 50% to run the program, make the rules, look like they're helping and pat themselves on the back with a generous pension for their 'good works'.
It takes time for life to deprogram young people. If run through the public education system, they are fed an uninterrupted stream of lies for the first 22 years of their life (sometimes longer). Some people continue their initial programming forever. Those people are called democrats.

Haven't yet begun a lifetime of accumulated value; thus, nothing to lose and everything to gain from socialism.
Older people typically have family and/or earned assets that other people covet. That is, they have stuff to protect (conserve).
