Like, I know it's not unheard of.
But I was thinking, and I don't know all that much about the military hierarchy
but isn't it weird that the federal government is bypassing using the actual army for protection and using the national guard?
I thought national guard was meant to act supplementary to the army?
(I'm not implying anything, I'm just trying to figure out if it's weird, or I'm just not well-informed)
President Hayes signed a bill which limits the powers of the federal government in the use of federal military personnel to enforce domestic policies within the United States. NG is state based military personnel.
