IT's got the 50's vibe for sure -- Julia is Every Man's Dream Girl whereas the one from the 80s plays here more as the rebel whore she is in the book. It's a fine line to be sure as her character is both noble and whorish while Smith is something else, possibly too close to us here and at GA to be comfortable.
