Unfortunately, won't work in a private business location.

Private businesses can’t say “fuck off, we don’t allow cripples in wheel chairs in muh private business”

I’m not sure why the China sniffles somehow overides the ADA

I understand your argument.

But in reality, what will you do when they tell you: Fuck you with your exemption card. Wear mask or don't enter ?

What's your next steps?

Then this has nothing to do with public health or safety...

So they ultimately admit they're tyrants.

That the whole disingenuous position that they care about your health and safety are just lies.

"Wear a mask! It's for the health and safety of others!"

" I can't. I have an exemption"

" Lol fuck you I don't care about your health and safety. Get out..."

So....why even have the policy if they aren't enforcing it but, enforcing something else.

So ultimately they use your health status for reasons to discriminate against you and your business. This is illegal. You cannot discriminate based on religion, creed, sexual orientation and disability. An exemption to wearing a face covering would be considered a disability imo. Therefore, the business would be breaking two laws. The ADA for asking about your health status. And then for unlawful discrimination.

This will be well documented because if you've shopped there before, you have records to show that they've accepted your exemption status before and are selectively enforcing it. This then becomes a weaponzied policy which then turns into abusing the trespass act.

Then you can get them to admit they've allowed others into the store with an exemption. If they lie and say they don't, that's not going to go over well with a judge. If they say they do they just admitted they're selectively discriminating based on health status and exemptions.

What we are describing here is Rosa parks and being told to sit at the back of the bus. People that say "muh private business" are fools. This debate was settled a long ass time ago. Only figures democrats want to keep up their necromancy debates.

This is all cool and I'm all for this.

My only concern and question: How many of you personally ready to go argue, deal with police called on you by the business owners when confrontation reaches a boiling point, then defend your position in courts, etc?

I'm asking all this not to troll you. Just curious how willing are we to stand our ground in real life, not on the forum.

I had a run-in at Fun Spot recently. They were one of the only companies not requiring masks until like two weeks ago when suddenly masks are required. I went to the entrance with my exemption card and was told “too bad so sad”. No matter what I said they refused to budge. The announcement over the intercom in the parking lot says “At Fun Spot we care more about health and safety than anything else.”. So I called corporate office to air out my grievances. I spoke to a manager who apologized but that the health dept threatened to shut them down if they don’t require masks. I said “well then why not say that in the intercom instead of pretending like you made the decision based on “health and safety”? You’ve made my family feel like we aren’t welcome and we will never return.” I also informed him that the health dept has no legal authority to shutdown based on masks and that their fines aren’t enforceable in Florida. He said they never bothered to look into the law and just do as they’re told. That’s the problem right there. If companies use the law to defend themselves then the health dept will bully them into submission by saying “you care more about the LAW than health and safety.”. The health dept is nothing more than a rabid pack of communists.

I called the ADA about a grocery store that put the mask brownshirts at their doors and didn't allow me entry without a mask. I told them I have a county exemption and a disability that precludes mask-wearing. They told me that because it's private property, the store can do what it wants. I asked about wheelchairs to see if the store could bar entry to someone using one. They told me to take a hike. Apparently the ADA only cares if you have the "right" disability.

Shop. Elsewhere

Good idea. And I'm doing my part in my lib infested area. But it's heavily against me so I have to deal with reality where shop elsewhere just doesn't work because everywhere is same shit.

Now, answering to your potential statement to move elsewhere - Yes. Work in progress too.

The exact same thing as asking that signatures be verified on absentee ballots when it’s required by law - fuck all since no one gives a shit about the law.

We are in a post legal society where might makes right. Corruption (I’m not even going to call it leftism, since the Republicans are all in on it too) has permeated every level of our society, education, all big companies and many small ones, social media and society at large. The law is irrelevant, courts are irrelevant, the only thing that matters anymore is what can I get away with and what will I get arrested for.

Murdering looters and arsonists are let out of jail and not prosecuted while protesters on the 6th who literally did nothing but exercise our supposed 1A right are terrorists that are being hunted down by the stasi FBI since they haven’t found any garage pull downs to assault amphibiously lately.

So back to the “might makes right” point, really the only thing to be done about private business/local gov/state gov/federal gov being a bunch of corrupt and/or brain dead scofflaws is to force them to follow the law, which I am certainly unprepared/incapable of doing singlehandedly and I don’t think our country is ready or prepared to do collectively.

So to answer your original question, what are my next steps?

The same as my last steps: continuing to harass my state and local government officials and letting them know in the most sincere terms that wont get me swatted how much contempt I have for them, voting against all incumbents in the primaries and frustrating the mask Karen’s at the door up to but not reaching the point where the police get called.

I live in an area where most people love their masks but there are enough rebels that the Karen’s have mostly grown tired of fighting about it so most of them will just stare at you as you enter maskless but won’t say anything about it. Claiming you have a medical exemption (without the card in this post) is enough to get you past the ones that still try to force you to wear one, and I haven’t shopped at the places I expect will try to force them anyway since the scamdemic started. Sorry Apple (not sorry).

I go to Publix (and everywhere else) and never wear a mask. No employee has ever once said anything about it to me. Most people don't want confrontation so they'll just ignore it.
