PCT and RTs are in the same boat..... no pay raise and provide bedside care for covid+ patients along with nurses. To be fair the nurses at my facility also dont get a pay raise but can get a OT bonus if they pick up a covid room.
Their explanation is that the nurses here are leaving for better money. I mean, I couldn’t turn down $7500 a week either. I wish the tech would get out from the pathologist and form a union.
I tell EVERY young nurse to travel and get while they can cause it wont always be this good.

They had the place locked down. I figured it would be a madhouse inside. When I finally got in, the only other patient I saw was a naked mental patient running down the hall. I counted 17 nurses/doctors standing around the e.r. desk area with their collective thumbs in their asses. They looked bored. Should have made their own tik toc dance video.
I'm thankful I have a good doctor that doesn't believe the hype. Most people who work in Healthcare Inc. are just corporate stooges that push product. Medicine doesn't seem to mean health anymore.

It is a fairly large hospital, 550 beds, they are out of ER beds, regular room beds, running out of staff, nurses and techs ETC. They are OVERLOADED , OVERWHEALMED WITH PATIENTS and have been like that FOR quite some time. THEY DON’t have time to dance in the break room, they don’t have time to even take a break. I’m taking up for the nurses, somebody needs to.
My mother was a nurse on ITU for years, it was always at breaking point this time of year, that’s their job. It’s not meant to be easy going, we have epidemics every year, this year everything has just been blamed on Covid. Even car crash victims. Figure it out mate.
The nurses that make 6 figure salaries and get to work in a climate controlled enviornment with benefits that make most Gov employees jealous? Yeah, I'm sure all of the roofers, laborers, etc. working for peanuts have it so easy compared to them. Get fucked.
