Lol. I work in the lab and we are SLAMMED! We are angry cause the darling nurses get a yuge raise and we get crapped on.

Got sick with Covid and had to use all my PTO. Us lab techs keep the doctor from killing you.

You’re welcome. We get sick by handling the specimens. That’s how I got sick and we have PPE.

We are burned out and under appreciated. The nurses get all the glory. 😑

That's pretty wild. I would've thought you guys would be protected. If this is that easily caught in a lab environment, it's no wonder it spread everywhere in public. It's going to be really interesting to see if the vaccines even do much. I seriously doubt they are actually going to be ~95% effective.

I’m not taking the vaccine and if they it mandatory, I’ll leave. I can’t take it cause I have reactions to the crap in it. Can’t take flu vaccines.

We medical technologists run the chemistries, microbiology, hematology, blood banking and molecular. Without us, the doctor is just guessing.

We get treated like crap, paid like crap and the last to get funding. It’s crazy stupid.

PCT and RTs are in the same boat..... no pay raise and provide bedside care for covid+ patients along with nurses. To be fair the nurses at my facility also dont get a pay raise but can get a OT bonus if they pick up a covid room.

Their explanation is that the nurses here are leaving for better money. I mean, I couldn’t turn down $7500 a week either. I wish the tech would get out from the pathologist and form a union.

I tell EVERY young nurse to travel and get while they can cause it wont always be this good. Im not pro union im not anti union for the most part either. This may be the catalyst for a big movement but union rules in Cali are causing the drive of travel nurses to get paid 7500 a week.
