Here's the parts list, and links to the exact parts you need (the links are to amazon, but don't have to buy from amazon) I'm still working on getting my drawing hosted, the file type seems incompatible. I can easily email it to anyone who inboxes me for it, though.
Lead Acid Deep cycle marine battery (must have dual posts. You’ll be using the smaller, threaded posts. It should come with a nut on the post, if not, buy a nut that fits. This exact battery works fine.
Crimp Ring Terminals (you can get these when you buy the battery, but ill include a link so you see what youre looking for. Get 5AWG sized crimp rings, thats the size of your cable)
-two washers that will fit over the threaded battery posts. Any steel washer from home depot, they cost pennies.
-Plastic tote (optional) I like store the controller and battery inside of a plastic tote, and mount the inverter onto the top of the box (for easy access and ventilation)
Tools:
Screwdriver (flathead/phillips head)
Wire strippers (or a sharp knife)
Crimpers (or linesman pliers, channel locks, any pliers that can crush a crimp well)
Channel locks (or any plier/socket that will work to tighten the nut onto the battery post)
Drill motor (optional, to drill holes in plastic tote/mount the controller and inverter)
Drill bit (optional, to make holes in the plastic box for the cables to enter/exit)
Small screws and a drill tip to install the screws
Upgrading info:
You have an 1100watt inverter, and each solar panel is 100watts. That means you can put up to 11 solar panels on this system. Just buy more Y Splitter cables and connect more panels.
If you add more panels, or your battery gets old, you may want to add more batteries for more power storage. Never add new batteries to the old battery. An old battery connected to a new battery can catch fire. Dispose of the old battery and install new batteries (all of the same age, make, and size. They must be identical).
I just made a list, prices have gone up a bit but it comes out to $295 for all the parts you'd need. And the hardware is oversized, so you have the option to add more batteries and panels to the existing equipment (up to 10 more panels, so 10x the size)
I'll draw a laymens schematic anyone could follow, and include links to the parts. Any ideas where I could host this information so its publicly accessible?
