We're heading towards societal collapse, but we're not there yet. Food, medicine, and guns are all still relatively cheap compared to what they will be afterwards. So if you haven't started already, now would be the time to start stockpiling these things. At my local supermarket, I can get a 40LB sack of rice for $22. That same sack of rice after the collapse will be worth more than you would possibly believe. And if nothing happens and I'm just a lunatic, well now you don't need to buy food for a while.

Eh, glad i live in hee-haw with plenty of land. I already bought my seeds for this year and i can can/preserve food. Got my chickens too, ready to hatch out new birds this year and i grow their food too. But if you are in a city yes, stock up.
