My papaw grew up in one of the poorest counties in America. His family had to hunt and slaughter their animals in order to eat. He's now a successful builder/jack of all trades who owns several million dollars worth of land and assets. He's the embodiment of the American spirit and I love him dearly. Die hard Conservative too.

Think about this.
30 odd million in poverty in America
8 million of them black (18% poverty rate)
14 million of them white (7% poverty rate)
So the Leftists say that the excess poverty seen in blacks is due to racism, and look at all the effort they spend to fight racism.
They’re not correct, but even if they were, and if all of the “racism” were gone, and the poverty rates were the same for whites and blacks, we’d only be lifting ~4 million people out of poverty, about 10% of all those in poverty. What a weak plan. All this anti racism nonsense for so little benefit.
There are about twice as many whites below the poverty line than blacks.
Yes, By proportion, a black person is more likely to be poor. And liberals take that to mean we should only help poor blacks, as if the white poor don’t even matter.

I believe it also has a lower crime rate than the richest black-majority district.
