If you look at what he said, it's not quite as bad as most on this thread are making it out to be.
I totally disagree with Cruz on this, but you could easily interpret his words as saying the post election tactics weren't focused enough and were bad optics as a result.
I fully expect downvotes for this post, but am not ready to throw Cruz out just yet.
I think it would be wise to realize that he, like many others, are politicians. They can be very useful in some instances, but it is perhaps a mistake to expect them to be anything more than politicians.
