I don't deny that it will cause losses in the near future, but so be it. One party must be destroyed for the other to take it's place. The GOP is as good as dead to me. Even if we lose for a while due to a split vote, then that is what must happen.
I get the idea of losing in the short term to win in the long term and Im glad that McCain and Romney got their asses kicked by Obama to make way for Trump and Trumpism to make way, but I think this way of going about it is wrong and self destructive.
First off, political parties are just machines and thats it. They are private little legal mafias that have applications like any other tool or machine. The Democrat and Republican parties are the two most powerful ones, and no others even come close. Now we are in a really good position of taking over one of the most powerful machines, or at the very least carving out a section of it, to further our ideals and I think its a stupid idea to instead of pursuing this goal further to just throw all that progress away and to start from scratch for basically no real reason other than some bruised egos.
Agreed. Reminder that anyone pushing to create a third party instead of taking over the republican party is either stupid or a saboteur
I'm pushing for it, and I'm neither.

3rd party = continuation of political graft and power grab - just called by a different name.
