Several days ago, I made a post saying I would build a free website for any conservative running against democrats or RINOs. The post gained quite a bit of attention with over 5,000 upvotes. I want to give everyone an update on what's going on.
Multiple people have contacted me offering to help with everything from graphic design to data analysis. Multiple people have contacted me saying they want to run for a local/state office. Multiple people have contacted me saying they want to donate (not taking donations but thank you so much!).
I never expected any of that. What happens when something falls into your lap? You take it and do big things! My plans moving forward are big. Really big.
828 Strategic (https://828strategic.com) will provide pro-bono campaign marketing services to conservative candidates who are running for state or local offices against democrats and RINOs. I've received so many offers from other people to help out, I'm starting to put together a team that will work alongside me in building websites, creating graphical assets, and working with social media.
If you have already contacted me, please know I am going to follow up with you soon!
I do need your help though. First, I need to talk to someone who is a lawyer or who knows campaign/political law very well. Second, if anyone else would like to volunteer to help out, please fill out this form and I'll get in touch. If you've already contacted me to help out, please don't worry about filling out the new form.
It's his own server, his own resources. He was the owner of a tech company that he said he did very well in, and now he wants to pay it forward by helping others.
His current site is on Wordpress with no extra security, his form system is the free version of Jotform.com and his domain name is registered with a Canadian company.
Tell me more TwistedSister.
If he has his own server, ok. Is it colocated or in his datacenter? If it is in his basement it will crash with the bandwidth requirements and if it is rented by AWS and others he could be turned off. He will never be able to pay for the email bandwidth for email marketing and the email service fees are unavoidable.
Also, it is probably quasi illegal to donate this type of service. Wait until Democrat lawyers chew him and up spit him out. There is no way this should be done for free. It will fail.
On the other hand building a team and sustainable business model makes much more sense.
You can just write it off as a donation, and if he is a foreigner, they can perform services for free.
First, why would we outsource to a foreign worker, if we can do the work in the USA.
Second, the donation level varies based upon race type and state. This sounds like a legal nightmare.
Third, a person with little resources and zero budget will not be able to compete very well against overly funded marketing and tech teams on the opposing side.
Look at Omar’s boyfriend/hubby - he got nearly $2MM and had a team of nearly 20 working on her campaign. I agree we must use digital and tech but going “free” will fail.
