Several days ago, I made a post saying I would build a free website for any conservative running against democrats or RINOs. The post gained quite a bit of attention with over 5,000 upvotes. I want to give everyone an update on what's going on.
Multiple people have contacted me offering to help with everything from graphic design to data analysis. Multiple people have contacted me saying they want to run for a local/state office. Multiple people have contacted me saying they want to donate (not taking donations but thank you so much!).
I never expected any of that. What happens when something falls into your lap? You take it and do big things! My plans moving forward are big. Really big.
828 Strategic (https://828strategic.com) will provide pro-bono campaign marketing services to conservative candidates who are running for state or local offices against democrats and RINOs. I've received so many offers from other people to help out, I'm starting to put together a team that will work alongside me in building websites, creating graphical assets, and working with social media.
If you have already contacted me, please know I am going to follow up with you soon!
I do need your help though. First, I need to talk to someone who is a lawyer or who knows campaign/political law very well. Second, if anyone else would like to volunteer to help out, please fill out this form and I'll get in touch. If you've already contacted me to help out, please don't worry about filling out the new form.
The way you responded to me over some basic criticism is exactly why I would not trust you with a politician. You are a bit arrogant and probably not as great of a marketer as you think.
I think your concept is noble but flawed, flawed like your character. You don’t know who your talking to yet you are wanting to argue. That alone could damage a political campaign.
All I am saying it is the wrong approach to win. These campaigns need money and flawless execution. You cannot do that pro Bono you will fail and bring your candidates down with you.
Ok, instead of attacking me and offering pointless criticism, can you explain how the concept is flawed? I'm also not "wanting to argue". I'm having a conversation. You also don't know who you're talking too. Feel free to shoot me an email and introduce yourself.
What's the correct approach to win?
Once again, you don't understand what I'm offering. Let me quote myself:
"What I'm doing is freeing up time and resources of the candidate. They won't have to try and find someone to create a brand, logo, site, social media posts etc. etc. They can take the saved resources and time and use those on other opportunities."
Please explain, how someone running for a state rep or local city council position will be brought down and lose because they didn't have to pay for a website and brand.
Look, I'm not offering to fully manage someone's campaign. I'm not offering to head up the digital strategy for a hotly contested US senate seat. I've already explained what I'm doing. If you're not going to provide actionable helpful info than feel free to end the discussion.
