The US Military brass is what happens when officers do not have to be grunts beforehand.

And I dont get why that isnt the case. You shouldnt be able to buy your way into leadership, especially in something like the Military. You should have to work your way up and prove yourself.

Being a third world country has its benefits like this.

The Constitution that most of you pay such lip service to would be null and void if this ever happened in the US.

Has nothing to DO with economic status. America is a FUCKING 3rd world country in many respects. The most important to me is how our Constitution has been raped. And on economic matters, see California

That's just false. When Congress or the President or even the SCOTUS actively destroy the Constitution, it is every American's right, nay duty, to detain them, prevent the abuse, and uphold the Constitution. It's the highest law in the land -- not any specific political body. The People, the military -- literally anyone and everyone had the right and the responsibility to stand up to the bullshit push-through of unconstitutional elections and unverified vote counts. Nobody budged, because we live in a society blinded by abstractions. This sort of environment precipitates the fall of the Republic, inevitably. Only if it should change can its future be assured.

Where in the Constitution does it give the military the authority to overthrow the government? The cause may be just. The rationale may be sound. But it doesn't negate that fact that the Constitution will be destroyed. Does going above and beyond the Constitution in order to save its principles have any consequences? You bet it does.

The Constitution is not self-sustaining. It's just a piece of paper with text on it. Do you think those who wrote and ratified it didn't understand this obvious fact? It's not "destroying" the Constitution to literally uphold it by force against those breaking and desecrating it.

Or are they now? I think a lot is going on behind the scenes you just don't notice it. Unrestricted warfare can be hard to spot.
