Friendly reminder that in 1933 the Nazi party set fire to the Reichstag (German capitol building), declared that there was an insurrection, blamed it on their opponents (the communists and the Jews), fear mongered enough to grab a massive amount of 'emergency' powers for then-Chancellor Adolf Hitler, who promptly used that power to install himself as dictator.

The Fentanyl Floyd / #BLM riots were Krystallnacht.

Pelosi's Reichstag Riot was their Reichstag Fire.

Then there's your analogy above.

History doesn't repeat, but it certainly rhymes.

I guess the Democrats actually have studied history. Using Hitler's playbook.

One thing I've come to know about Democrats is that they are 0% original. They use the same playbook to attack their rivals, they use the same tactics to spread fear and control, and when all else fails, they use the same tactics to overthrow the current government and install their regime. That's why they are so predictable

Another fact: Julius Streicher and other Nazi Propagandists DID get charged and jailed and fined for "Hate Crimes" under Weimar.

Obviously the "Hate Crime" enforcement didn't do shit.

Pretty sure Germany invaded Poland because after fighting a bloody Civil War fueled by Communists, they pushed into Poland to defend old German territory from the Communists in Poland because Poland wasn't protecting that region.

Eventually saving Poland and parts of Russia from said Communist.

From Wikipedia though... Even the creator of Wikipedia says it can't be trusted anymore, especially with controversial topics.

I don't doubt there's plenty of truth to it, but it's blowing up a small aspect and ignoring the big stuff. Poland doesn't hate Germany/Nazis, they hate Communists. That should say a lot about this revisionist history.

Wikipedia? Really? Did you run it through Snopes to make totally for sure? Maroon.

what source would you accept then? use your preferred search engine and let me know what sources youd accept! Happy to use those instead.

Americans dont hate the japanese, but that doesnt mean Pearl harbor didnt happen.

I don't really have approved sources, can't think of many that I haven't caught lying to be. I just try to follow the information from as many different researchers as I can. People who dig into the data and show me the data. Then the "truth" is somewhere in the middle of all the individual bias.

I am very quick to disregard any source that can't even mention Communists involvement in this region/time period. Communists Revolutions/Civil wars were destroying nations and killing millions yet rarely gets mentioned. There's a lot that went on between WW1 and WW2 that never gets talked about and the complexity WW2 conflicts has been reduced down to Hitler Man Bad and pathetically simplistic ideas of why Hitler came to be or what he did in Europe. He's still a Tyrannical Authoritarian, but I'd prefer honest history.

That page is specifically about one operation, not the entirety of the war. Did you take the time to look? or just disregard it?

I read it, something I'm familiar with. But that's not the reason they invaded, just a tactic they used.

Ok so your issue is that exactly? Did I say it was the sole reason? No. Did I say anything along those lines? No. I’m merely pointing out the left is using the same exact tactics as the nazis they claim you are. If you want to discuss the entire history of WW2, I’m not interested.

Old German territory? What year map did you use to come to that conclusion? Because that territory was Polish territory a 1000 years ago, in fact the name comes from Proto-Slavic, it was also Czech territory at one point, and the people that actually live there are Silesians who are Slavs and fought several uprisings against the Germans.

The only reason Germany was given that territory after WWI is because it's so rich in resources and they said they'd never be able to pay reparations without it.

At that time Poland wasn't communist, it was the time of the Second Polish Republic and had just won the Polish Soviet war.

I've actually been to Gliwice because of work a few years back. it's a nice city, a train stop when going from Krakow to Wroclaw.

So, for us history normies - why did Germany invade Poland? Propaganda excuses and the real reason.

Any takers.

Part of the treaty after WW1 was for Germany cede some territory. It's been a long time since I looked into all this stuff because it bothered me how little I knew about WW1, WW2, and what happened in Germany in-between.
