That was definitely unnecessary, and shouldn't have been done. However, I feel a need to caution people not to always buy the leftist lie that kids involved with police are always so innocent. This girl's mom said she thought the girl was going to kill her. It still doesn't mean she needed to be pepper sprayed when she was already handcuffed, but I just can think of way too many times when the left has demonized police over "harassing innocent kids" and when the facts come out, it's just not the case at all.

Now I'm not a "back the blue" person either, especially in these recent times. They've shown themselves far too often to be "following orders" bafoons, with no regard for whether their orders make any sense or are even lawful. I just feel like we've also been hit over the head so many times with the "poor innocent kids" angle with police, when it's completely untrue... that now I'm so jaded when I see anything that takes that angle.
