Yes, the CRA preceded Bush, but he kept those policies in place and had crooks running Fanny and Freddie.

I was skeptical about Bush on 9/12. He had the chance to really unite the world behind a common cause, and instead his entire speech was about demonizing all Arabs with his "Our God is better than your God" rhetoric. At least that was my interpretation at the time, and developments since have seemed to support that feeling.
