Texas doesn't need the federal reserve. An oil backed currency, perhaps.

Texas does NOT have state income tax. Also, Texas is NOT dependent on federal funding for anything (I think I read that somewhere).

I don't think many places allow open carry. BUT, I don't personally know a single person who doesn't conceal carry. My 75 yr old mother has a CHL and is ALWAYS packing heat.
