Fauci is an idiot, but you don’t become a top bureaucrat by being a good scientist; you get that way by playing politics which is why he can’t be trusted for anything. Almost any non-bureaucrat scientist who at least tried to take science seriously is better than he is. The press is so dumb, chasing their fake scientist celebrity.
