Seems possible. I read, years ago, about microscopic spider nanobots able to be injected into the blood stream as a means to repair hearts with microsurgery. And devices such as this being sprayed by plane to cause Morgellan's Disease.
Of course, these devices may be used for nefarious purposes, because someone else controls them. They can be used to wreak havoc on your system to make you suffer. Or can be used to kill you.
