No it doesn't help them. Economy would've collapsed regardless. Too much debt, too much fake money. If the economy collapses people will need to focus on the basics just for that. Communists can't provide it. Even all the lazy government bureaucrats won't have money so what incentive to enforce laws. Yes many want power over money but those listening to them want money and there won't be any. People will have to get along and work together in ways they haven't before. The left will still be lazy and unable to do anything. Communists need a somewhat functional system of government and economy to take over. At least most here understand the constitution is great in theory in providing a limited government and ensuring our rights but it has largely failed. People here will be smart in doing their best to ensure their own freedoms. Leftism would not win in a collapse (which is coming anyways).
