I agree - I'm disturbed since the election by this moment for "political purity" that excludes everyone except, well, Trump. We have to be willing to debate people and ideas, not cut off everyone. Use facts and reason. Don't emotionally react to a report only to find out it comes from CNN or the NYT. We need to become a movement of ideas - the ideas Trump espoused and fought for - not some purity test almost everyone will fail. I'm really worried we have learned the wrong lessons from 2020.
To both of you who got downvoted: NO. We do think for ourselves. We just ask a simple question: who fought for us more than anyone else? Trump did. Who did not stand with him - him being the chance that we’d have someone to fight for us again? Among others, Cruz did not. When he is not standing for Trump, then he’s not standing for us. People think their votes have been stolen. Do we feel reassured now because Cruz is calling Trump reckless?
I think John Doyle is right. Most people are sheep who don’t think critically, and that includes a lot of people here. They just so happen to have been scooped up by the right people instead of the wrong people.
I guess that means we gotta do a better job of herding them.
