Look, I ain’t proud to be white. I’m neutral, like I can’t control it why would I desire to uphold my skin color as my mark of meaning in the world. I am prideful in my occupation and hobbies because I love what I do.
It’s okay to be white, but being prideful of it is stupid. The goal is to move on from race and work on being ourselves with our friends and family. And celebrating white history is just celebrating history, same as celebrating black history. We celebrate the figures that got us to where we are today, fathers and grandfathers, mothers and grandmothers.
I really wish they would remove the black from black history month and just make it history month, where kids can come together and talk about their favorite historical figures based on the content of their characters rather than the color of their skin.
