Yes. Electricity is a substance, a physical thing, and you can run out of it. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't a substance, that you can not have enough of.

The upshot will be ordinary people won't have mobility. Only fancy people. Ordinary people will stay put, and not go anywhere. Too expensive.

And that includes flying all over the place, at whim, which ordinary people do now. In the 1950s, flying in planes became available to the ordinary, not-rich, people. Before that, it was a luxury thing to fly. A mink coat thing.

That may come back again, when the airlines are no more, because of COVID regs, and flying is only for some.

Seems like rebranding natural gas as "unicorn farts" and coal as "sprinkles" would solve that.
