Every printer adds a unique pattern of yellow dots to whatever you print so that they can find out where it was sold. It really helps them narrow down the search. I'm not sure how detailed it gets, like can they tie it to a sale time + video footage or credit card transaction.

I suppose using cash and wearing a super safe COVID-19 mask can help.
