We should not form a new party. There is no way a new party could replace the Whigs. We can't compete, but must reform the Whig party!

Who said it had to even be a party as we know them. Every person running republican is vetted by the patriots and takes a constitutional oath in front of their potential constituents. If they pass, everyone votes for them that can so scum sucking rhino and warmonger repubs get pinched out. If they sell out, we recall their asses immediately. It's that easy.

I agree with this. But a lot of people -- I will even admit myself, occasionally, once maybe -- have voted a straight R ticket out of spite for D's. In and of itself that isn't a bad thing, but when Rinos lurk it can be. But the same could be said for a new party as well.

One thing I can suggest (maybe incorrectly) in favor of a new party over strict vetting of candidates to the old party is that building something new brings with it a creative energy that a "remodeling" simply does not. The idea of MAGA flies in the face of that by its very definition, but I would argue it felt new in a way that merely voting for a vetted Republican would not have.

We can't compete, we have to replace

I'm going to say this one more time here: The republican party is exactly the same as the Democrat party. The difference is only in how they campaign and maybe some marginal issues (like tax rates). Electing Republicans doesn't stop democrats because they're on the same team.

Since that's the case, the argument of "a third party only ensures dem rule" is silly. That's literally what we have now. A third party is the ONLY way to end that.

How do we replace if there are no elections, only selections?

Not everywhere has corrupt elections. Just most of the country (electorally). We can still take over the congress.

Roger has a right to be a dick, I guess. Anyone who considers themselves remotely patriotic should piss on the GOP. Fuck those guys. We can fold the very few good ones right in with MAGA. No more GOP.

Republicans ensured this Democrat victory.... So fuck em. Should have used my donations to protect my vote.

How long until a Patriot Party would be full of PINOs?

France has this already. The right is split between two parties (Republicans and National Rally), both equally corrupt and worthless. It's also been throwing elections to the left for almost 40 years now.

Charles De Gaulle would be spinning in his grave.

Until 1958 every French could own a hand gun and 50 rounds to defend their home. It is Charles De Gaulle who took away this right by executive order.

Hey, if the Left can be "Socialist-Democrats" I can certainly be an "America First - Republican"

We don't need a new party, we need to retake the GOP for ourselves and then I'd like to see it reformed into the Patriot party

No buying this argument. If 25 Patroits and 25 GOPers were elected to Senate they would eventually settle differences to vote against Dems. No Patriot would ever side with Dem just to fuck with GOP. Patroits would be in strong leverage position vs Rinos

Except that's not how our elections work. We elect the top vote getter in each race, not by proportion of the vote. If you split GOP/Patriot down the middle every race would be ~40-50% Democrat, and 20-25% for each of GOP/Patriot so there would be 100% Democrat winners.

My thinking was either/or. Pat vs Dem or GOP vs Dem. In strong Trump areas I don't think GOP will even field a candidate. Other areas hold your nose and vote GOP or primary them.

Disagree with Stone, many will not support/vote Republican and that’s why you’ll lose Stone

Also disagree. We don't really have control of our own votes and R's have miserably let us down in this critically important area.

I wouldn't expect the new party to win right off the bat. But the sooner we get started, the sooner we'll get there!!!
