This isn't the fucking 1700s. They're NG troops with no live ammo. They have riot gear and maybe I missed it but I didn't see plate carriers or similar. There are 4 major military branches with highly trained active duty soldiers that could swoop in at a moment's notice. Capitol police. Secret service. It would be a slaughter.
