Imagine what the world looks like to a smart free thinking person like her. I can’t imagine what I would think if the bookstores were filled with books about how I sucked because other people were making me suck. That I sucked so bad I couldn’t get anywhere unless the evil purveyors of my sucking were stopped. That I had no chance of not sucking at life unless I was protected. Seems to me the message would be that I am weak and all the power is in the hands of my tormentors. That I have no power to extradite myself from this situation by my own hand and need help from someone, anyone who is smarter and stronger than me. Setting up people to be complete loosers. I would rather believe that there are bad and good people and stand and fight and maybe loose as long as the victory if it ever came was all mine.
