Went outside to have a quick smoke when I saw it. I then said out loud in a joking manner something along the lines of “Hello FBI, have you come to arrest me or confiscate my guns for making memes or questioning the election?” Not less than a minute after I said that a man crawled out of the back of the van into the driver’s seat and drove off. Coincidence?

That just sounds like a well supplied thief, as they'll use a package and uniform as cover to either case or breach our home.
Thanks for the heads up. Makes sense. I live in a town where locking homes and car doors is optional, but times are changing.
If you have a security system, usually they have little signs you can stick in your yard in front of your house. Might deter them. If not, I've also seen someone with this sign before:

Don’t EVER put up any signs like that. Even the most incompetent, drunken ambulance chaser will obliterate you in a civil suit if you shoot.
