The problem is that even in communist governments on the verge of bankruptcy... collecting civilians money is always efficiënt no matter what. They don’t care to bankrupt you - charge you with tax evasion and confiscate all property. The notion that they can’t confiscate 75 million properties is a myth. It’s happend before. It’s called communism. All they need is an excuse.
