No, not really.. he died, the students died. Then they squished the bodies with tanks to the point where they could just wash the corpse juice down the drain. Communists didn't back down, they control the country to this day. If anything it shows that showing up and peacefully protesting gets you killed and does nothing to stop a dictatorial government.
