It’s so weird to me. We call California stupid for wanting to secede when the red team wins but then cheer Texas on for wanting to secede when the blue team wins.
This whole secession idea is stupid. Secession means giving ground to commies, and I refuse to give up one single square inch of land to commie fucks.
Perception: most everyone in the country hates California, if for no other reason than Californians moving out ruin their state property values. Texans are annoying but aren’t a threat like that.
History: California has no history of being its own country., and thus any talk of secession is butthurt delusion. Texas has been its own country, has actually seceded before, and it’s a common topic of conversation here. Not usually serious, of course. But there’s precedent for it.
Sustainability: Yes, California has a lot of farmland and a high GDP, but the perception is that the whole state could fall into the ocean and the rest of the country would adjust. It also likely wouldn’t be able to provide basic services to its population, due to interdependencies and government malfeasance. If Texas left, it has it’s own water and power infrastructure, a decent amount of farmland, and oh, btw, most the US’s petroleum refinery capacity.
Allies: If Texas seceded, I believe most of the Gulf Coast and Great Plains states would come with us. Basically, the states that produce your food and gas. Nobody would join California; Arizona and Nevada would cheer, and then cut off water from the Colorado River.
Do I think secession is an answer, or even likely? Much like the current situation with the military apparently not launching a coup when it “should have”, I don’t think things have gotten bad enough for such drastic actions to be taken, or for such ideas to be advanced very far.
tl;dr? Secession is a possibility that constantly simmers at the back of most Texans’ minds. California only talks about it when they’re pouting.
Yes, us conservatives generally hate COMMIEfornia, but majority of libs generally love commiefornia. I’d say it’s roughly half and half, probably leaning more towards 60/40 since libs outnumber us. You have a point with property values and taxes, but most libs gladly pay that, and only the elite and a select few working class would leave over that.
I would say the perception of the value of the two states is just that...perception. Both would prob do ok on their own, but both are also heavily tied into the country on a federal level. So neither of them will choose to leave.
Would other states join Texas? Maybe. But I never hear those states talk about it. Maybe they do and I just don’t know. I think Texas would be on their own if they left.
I do agree that secession is highly unlikely. Most people are comfortable enough with their lives that they won’t do anything. Clearly, based on how we acted on Jan 6, quietly going home after the Capitol incident, we clearly aren’t fired up enough.
I was specifically addressing the disconnect in the way people react to California verses Texas seceding. It simply comes across different when it’s coming from CA.
And no, I’ve never met anybody who wasn’t from California who likes California or Californians. Hard left, maybe, but even moderate Democrats don’t really care about the place.
Texas could survive without the US. I’m not convinced California could.
Anything that Texas did to advance real secession happen under extreme circumstances, circumstances that would affect other states as well. I do think Texas seceding would be akin to a first domino falling; the effect would be other states leaving as wells. Not because of Texas, but because of the same conditions that Texas would be responding to.
And yup, people are too comfy right now to take hard action of any sort.
I think and hope maybe Texas has reached the point secession is a real possibility. To those that say nope or feds or never, read a history book on the American Revolution or the Texas revolution. The months and years leading to them clearly were filled with people saying never, nope, cant, and wont. Im not saying it will happen but at some point every thing becomes possible. People have to lose it all to wake up to new ideas
If those making laws are lawless, laws have no legitimate authority. We can all secede if we wish. The illegitimate government cannot force us to be subservient unless we consent. Always has been that way. Throw off your mental slave chains.
Nope, they bitch like this every time blue team wins and nothing ever comes of it.
Then we need to FORCE secession.
And they'll lose, hard.
FORCE
You're not going to out-force the fed. Not in a straight territorial battle between two organized states.
That's why it is wise to target their leadership. Their armies aren't loyal to who truly owns them.
When's the last time 2A was used as intended in the Constitution?
What, you think the fed isn't going to stomp Texas because of words on a piece of paper?
Jesus weeps for how sloppy you faggot cunts are. Guarantee for failure is to not even try. Sit on the sidelines cucks.

A few differences between California and Texas:

Respectfully, nothing you said makes sense.

The RINOs will let them down
If they do, I will move there.
Dude, I'd be there faster than a Jew with a coupon.
At the rate we're going, at some point it seems inevitable.

Go to resist.bot and tell your reps you support #TEXIT
Texas shouldn't accept biden supporters fleeing CA!

Why do you cowards want to concede territory to commies? Because that’s exactly what secession is.
Texas lawmakers are just telling you what you (think you) want to hear. They would never actually go through with it, and shouldn’t.
