You're right. There should be a law against lawyers being in congress honestly. It is exactly like a lot of other specialty trades: they don't want you to know that what they are doing is easy because they fear they will lose out somehow. That and they have the ability to legislate circles around us without any of us knowing what is going on.

There used to be just that in the original 13th Amendment.
Tort reform is long overdue.
The costs of every lawsuit should be paid by the losers. It would stop 99% of frivolous settlement-seeking.
