Oh my fucking god. Even people who speak english as a native language often don't know what acronyms mean unless they are in that specific field. it's called industry jargon.

Short handing something is simply to make papers/articles more efficient at communicating info without typing out redundant strings of words in titles. It makes the information to digest shorter without loosing the meaning.

Also in most documents, the acronym is supposed to be written in full when first mentioned, and then abbreviated from there on out. It's not hard to figure out with context what the meaning is, and if all else fails just quickly search it on Wikipedia.

So now, minorities and colored people are too stupid to search the internet for a term they don't understand? Yeah okay. Honkety fucking honk honk. 🤡🌎

Let the clowns honk. The man is taking names and before long he'll come around. Biden is exposing all communists and traitors in his cabinet because they think Trump just disappeared, and that there aren't powerful forces that know everything about who these people are and who they work for. Ultimately the communists infesting the US Government are small fish, as China and the UN are far greater threats pulling the strings from the shadows.

It's not even industrial. We all use acronyms every day - 1am, 2pm, etc. But the population is so ignorant now, they don't know they stand for antemeridian and postmeridian. Or what that means.

But I would bet a lot that even illegal immigrants know what they mean, in the context of what time of day it is.

Just more inherent racism from the left, who think everyone not them are stupid and incapable of intelligence.

PS (yep, another one): this is coming from the people who's literal job it is to teach their students what acronyms mean. This decision is pig headed just on that level - instead of teaching their ESL students what they mean - just ban it. How does this help anyone? My guess is that the teachers themselves don't know what they mean, so they can't teach them. And, the usual narcissism, "look at me, I'm more woke than you!"

Being in the military, my husband uses a lot of acronyms. Sometimes I ask him what they mean and he says, "Um....I don't know." Doesn't matter.
