Is snow days. We've had significant snowfall here for the past three days. School buildings are closed. When we were kids, the meant no school, right? My kids still have fucking school on their "snow days" because they've been doing virtual (barely) learning for months. Fuck this. Snow days are for sledding, building snowmen, and making hot chocolate from scratch. Not sitting in front of a fucking screen for 7 hours.

When I was a kid I lived in SoCal and it never snowed. This was on of my favorite books even though it made me a little envious. Now go enjoying your winter wonderland before it melts! ❤

We homeschool. Today is a snow day. Virtual public school is BS.
Call in sick. Oops the kids caught the 'Rona.
I asked office if they could please consider. While I understand, hey, no cut to easter break or no make up days at end of year...the snow day is a special joy of childhood and the babies have had so much joy stolen. A snow day would give some magic back. They didnt say no, but.. I doubt it. At least mine do have somewhat shortened days so we will have some play time. But the sleep in, the vacay day...they need it. Deserve it.
It's funny how in all those futuristic hollywood movies they show children being taught by computers each in isolation
