It takes an experienced proofreader to catch errors that pass spellcheck. when it is mission critical I have even read the document word for word, backwards. It short circuits all skimming and can raise exceptions even with correctly spelled words ('Unites?') or words and phrases repeated in the document by annoying habit of the writer (reasonable, obviously, better expressed as positive/negative, excessive use of etc., etc.)
HAhahahah, I was trying to figure out how it got by the spell checker. Reading it to myself: "Unite - ESS" like what word could it be confusing it for?? I'm low energy today.
DAMMIT!!!!! There is already a misspelling on the first page!!!!
"Unites States"
Spell check missed that one lol.
