I'm starting to think that the bullies of my youth (1980s) served a purpose from a Darwinian perspective. In the 90s there was a huge push to stop bullying and now we have boys dressed as girls in junior high and boys against girls in sports.
I think this is how we get out of this mess. Have a lot of kids and homeschool them. They will police each other, learn to work and be good Liberty lovers when they grow up. They can then take better care of us so we don't die alone in a Nursing home where everyone is masked up and all you have is a TV remote and eyes that can no longer see the letters on a page.
There's a difference between bullying and abuse. Bullying is what you get when someone stronger than you doesn't respect you. That's pretty much the definition of a parent/child relationship. As the children grow, the respect grows. I have no fear of my children and they have no fear of me, but they know who's in charge and they know that I can say and do things to them that they can't reciprocate. That's how the world works. When they are old enough to go their own way, it will no longer be bullying and will instead be camaraderie.
My bullying comes from a place of love, teaching them that people can rightfully mock you for things you have done without having any malice in their hearts. It teaches them that humor is how humans deal with pain. You either learn to laugh at yourself and thereby join in the joke, or you get offended and isolate yourself from the people who are laughing and having fun.
Leftists shelter their children from any kind of adversity for their entire lives. Every system they touch turns into a marshmallow covered breeding ground for pussies. I will not send my children into the world with paper thin skin, not understanding that a good-natured ribbing from your friends is not mean or hateful, but rather a sign of love and trust. They are showing you that they know where your weak point is, but all they will do with that knowledge is tickle it instead of gut you with it.
Your parents are supposed to be your safe space.
If that's what is needed at the time, sure. But if you are their safe space when what they need is a swift kick in the ass, then you are not helping them and you are not being a good parent.
I was referring more to ChuckNorris's idea of Darwinism and bullying. Texting and social media isn't Darwinian, because anybody can act tough behind a keyboard.
Think of it this way; bullies repress individualism. Stand out -> become a target.
By their existence they encouraged formation of groups and clicks, regression towards the status quo, and dominance hierarchies.
Bullies didn't know this. Most of them were just fucked up assholes who likely matured faster physically than their peers.
They also didn't always have good results. Conformity and over conformity leads to cultural blind spots.
It's best to think of the situation as an unfortunate semi randomized event that brought out social behavior that, to the greater society at the time, was a net benefit.

One of the greatest lessons a kid can learn is standing up to their bully and fighting back. Win, lose or draw it's a tipping point for anyone. The act of standing up for yourselfand fighting back regardless of outcome is a bedrock of character building.
The only way to grow is through adversity. Today's modern humans are, for the vast majority, sub-sentient zoo animals for the amusement of their betters.
If you've seen the 21 Jump Street remake, there's kind of a scene like this but no one is really getting bullied per se. The undercover jock is thrown off because all the cool kids are cliche libs and it's not cool to say you don't care about the planet like not giving a shit used to be cool when he was in high school.
I'm sure they'll make this sooner than later but don't get excited they'll have a muslim girl beat him up and he'll apologize for his white privilege then come out as gay
