To be honest in hindsight he was probably just ignorant of how corrupt DC was... but weren't we all?

I don't think he's retarded or ignorant, I think he was backstabbed from day one and probably hoped that winning a second term (which he did) would have been a huge help.

Then he should have told us in a live broadcast that he was in over his head, he and his family were in immediate peril, and no official law enforcement was willing to uphold the rule of law and the Constitution.

He had enough time to get that sentence out. And 100 million people would have been there within hours. Literally there to set things right in D.C.

But he did not.
