No kidding. Why can’t politicians (and everyone else) get off those platforms and just post things on their own website? We know how to navigate this newfangled internets thang. We could find it. They don’t need to tweet etc. What did they do before social media?

And have aggregators like the old Drudge Report, and now the wonderful Citizens Free Press. No slugfests on the middle-man platform, but on individuals' sites.

ETA: So actually that's what we are doing right now. It's just Farcebook, Twatter, Gaggle and so forth got way too big too fast and are trying to unlevel the playing field, which is the internet.
